I thought this was a really interesting clip from "filmtraits" on Gotye by Emma Hack. It gives me chills to hear people talk about their creative process, whatever it may be; the similarities that we have when taking a step forward.. to be able to trust yourself when creating/processing what you see in your head. I'm truly excited for my next wave of inspiration... 2012 will be a great year.
A quick peak into the mind of a creative.

Pikto
Here's an image from a photoshoot we did for Pikto printing lab, here in Toronto, ON. My boss asked me if I wanted to be a part of it.. sounded like a good idea! So here I am, surrounded by some of my images with various mounting/printing options which Pikto provides. I forgot how hard it is to be in front of the camera..I look like a loser, but oh well!
Erin Molly Fitzpatrick took the shot, we also had Magida El-Kassis there whom is a part of the two page ad coming out in a couple national photography magazines. You can find this ad in the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival magazine.
Manufactured Landscapes.
Although this film is a few years old now, it still deeply resonates with me. I was already a fan of Canadian Photographer Edward Burtynsky.. his technique and success in giving such emphasis and impact with one glance. This film is eye opening, shocking, and very real. I highly recommend taking the time to watch the movie, it will change the way you think about day to day life.
"Vestirsi"
Here I have an extremely talented photographer, who has recently made the move from Ottawa to Toronto.. She's worked all over the globe and has lots of tips and wisdom for the ever challenging industry. Make sure to take a look at her works; Erin Molly Fitzpatrick.

"This Time"
I thought this video was super cool..I love the image accompanied with the digital-ish sounds. This is by a co-worker, Vuk Dragojevic. He runs a site called Partial Pictures. Make sure to take a gander..
Coo!
Coming up for air..
I'm in the midst of editing two large projects.. which I'm sure I'll be able to post in a couple of weeks.
Until then, I would like to keep my updates and posts more frequent.. even if it's only to show you what inspires/interests me.
My posts will vary; some will be photography related, and some will consist of .. food, music, .. paper textures.. anything really. I'm also going to show a few links from my friends, co-workers, etc. Passionate people.
Let me know what you think along the way, and hopefully I'll post something that will peak your interest too.
Cheers.

Adrianna and Jonathan; my first Wedding celebration in Toronto.
I was a bit nervous arriving at the Synagogue, this being the first time meeting Adrianna and Jonathan; the event was also my first wedding celebration to be a part of since coming to Toronto. The ceremony was to be small, light, and at night on a weekday; much more laid back than what I'm accustomed to, very relaxed!
During the celebration, and into my editing process, I realize that I still love what I'm doing, and I'm still entirely eager to continue learning and expanding my skills. It's great to pick out those moments that one can miss with a blink of an eye, and then piece it together to tell a story. Some of the best moments captured are completely genuine and instant.
Jonathan and Adrianna were lovely to watch, especially with so many close friends and family in the same room, showing love and support.

Laura Olsen Events.
Meet Laura Olsen, a lovely young lady living in Toronto, with a new business in tow. This was my first time being in Laura's company; charming, friendly, adorable, and so very gorgeous. As we were sipping delicious lattes, it occurred to me that we had a lot more in common than I would have guessed.
It's always a pleasure to hear other new business owners talk about their experiences out in the big world.. especially somewhere as concentrated as Toronto. The new business is called Laura Olsen Events - www.lauraolsenevents.ca
Laura has an obvious, natural talent for visually striking, very creative ways to showcase your wedding day. Her work is very personal, current, and romantic; you can be sure that everyone will remember your wedding for years to come. Hearing Laura talk about her thought process when creating events was refreshing, as it's always inspiring to meet passionate creatives, of all types.
I hope our business' meet again in the future- I'm sure we could help one another out.
